Steve Kerr is back on the bench for Warriors opener

Before Tuesday’s opener was even played, the night was a win for Steve Kerr.

Because he was there, the Warriors head coach.

Kerr watched the game against the New Orleans Pelicans - No. 1 of the 24-game win streak to open the season and the 73 wins the team recorded - in the locker room.

On Tuesday, he’s on the bench, with a team that is eager to get things started.
