Federal grant to boost adult education in Vermont

(AP) — The Vermont Student Assistance Corp. will use a $2.4 million federal grant during the next five years for adult education and workforce development.

Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy, independent Sen. Bernie Sanders and Democratic Congressman Peter Welch say in a joint statement that the grant to the public nonprofit student aid agency is designed to help close that skills gap.
