Sheriff's sergeant who died after crash had heart attack

(AP) — Authorities say a Los Angeles County sheriff's sergeant who died after his patrol car crashed this week had suffered a heart attack.

Coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells City News Service Wednesday that an autopsy determined the 47-year-old Lopez had a heart attack.
