Run to honor researcher from Illinois killed in Ethiopia

The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2fPs07k ) the Nov. 26 event remembering former Lindenhurst resident Sharon Gray will raise money for a scholarship fund in her name aimed at mentoring young women in science.

The 31-year-old was a researcher at the University of California, Davis, and a leader in the study of how climate change affects plants.
