Longtime Iowa restaurant destroyed by kitchen fire Saturday

OELWEIN, Iowa (AP) — Investigators are trying to determine what caused a kitchen fire that spread quickly and destroyed a longtime restaurant in the northeast Iowa town of Oelwein.

The flames continued to burn into the evening until authorities used construction equipment to knock down the walls.
