Fox News Names Meghan McCain Permanent Co-Host of ‘Outnumbered’
In this role, McCain will serve as one of four female panelists, which include Harris Faulkner and Sandra Smith, along with one rotating male panelist.
“I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside the strong women on ‘Outnumbered’ and am excited to join the team as a full time co-host,” McCain said.
McCain, the daughter of Arizona Sen. John McCain, joined Fox News in 2015 as a contributor and has provided political analysis across the network’s daytime and primetime programming.
Prior to joining the network, McCain served as the host of Pivot Network’s “TakePart Live” and has contributed to multiple publications, including The Daily Beast, Newsweek and Time.
According to Nielsen ratings data, “Outnumbered” has been the No. 1 cable news program in its noon ET timeslot and has also posted triple-digit increases in both total viewers and the 25-54 demographic since its launch.
The show is ranked in the top 15 programs in total viewers for the month of October, even outpacing some primetime cable news competition.
