49ers turn attention to big challenge in Brady, Patriots
Brady and his New England Patriots (7-2) visit Santa Clara this week, fresh off a rare and stinging loss Sunday night against Seattle.
“It doesn’t get any easier,” 49ers head coach Chip Kelly said in his weekly news conference Monday.
Most notably, the 49ers allowed only 80 yards rushing — a monumental achievement for the NFL’s worst run defense entering the game.
Colin Kaepernick and Co. offered an uneven performance on offense, getting only 28 yards rushing from their running backs (Kaepernick gained 55) but producing enough in the passing game to put together a game-tying touchdown drive late in the fourth quarter.
