Allen Parish school workers to get bonus money

(AP) — The Allen Parish School Board has approved use more than $1.6 million in surplus sales taxes and gaming compact funds from the Coushatta Tribe to fund salary supplements for its 670 employees.

The American Press reports (http://bit.ly/1HTL0c3) the board approved Monday giving degreed personnel -- including classroom teachers and administrators -- a $2,200 one-time supplement.
