Omaha teachers to get training for unruly students
The school district is adding more administrators and hired a consultant to help improve how Nathan Hale Magnet Middle School handles disciplinary issues.
Parents and staff at a meeting Monday called for higher expectations, more parental involvement and greater diversity among teachers.
Attendees suggested that students also need more positive male role models.
The school offers a magnet program for leadership and social justice, extending its school day to help raise low test scores.
