Cemetery administrator faces charges in burial plot scheme

(AP) — A cemetery administrator is facing charges he tried to sell unused burial plots owned by a Massachusetts city.

Prosecutors say 70-year-old John Hughes, of Melrose, offered to sell plots at the city-owned Wyoming Ceremony in Melrose at discounted rates.
