"Various platforms have been created on the Karabakh theme, and we welcome this activation. At the same time, we also consider it important to recall the risks and challenges that may stand in the way of realizing our goals, the main one of which is to return Artsakh to the people of Artsakh.
We have made public our principled approaches and position regarding the current stage of the Karabakh problem, and all of them are inextricably linked with the political component of the conflict. Any actions that bypass the individual and collective rights of citizens of Artsakh and the possibilities for their implementation are unacceptable to us," the statement says.
"We believe that any program, project, event aimed at solving the social or other needs of the people of Artsakh should include, first of all, important guidelines related to the possibility of a safe and dignified return of Artsakh citizens to their homeland. Our priority is the possibility of returning to their home, and all kinds of short-term and long-term strategic projects should be based precisely on this goal.
Provocative discourse in the public field of Armenia, initiated by the RA authorities regarding the solution of exclusively various everyday and social problems of forcedly displaced citizens of Artsakh, the designation of certain amounts of financial assistance worth 3, 5 or even 20 million, are nothing more than a distraction from the main goal maneuver. Our main rights are political, but today the Armenian authorities are not doing any work to protect our political rights.
Representatives of the relevant government agencies of Artsakh are not involved in the decision-making process on social issues. Given the ambiguous attitude towards different persons and personalities, we consider it important in this situation to be guided by national interests, where the main subject is the Republic of Artsakh and its state institutions. We consider it unacceptable to use intermediate solutions and conduct experiments. Issues related to Artsakh do not begin and end with only the social component. Keeping only the social direction on the agenda devalues other important topics, such as the Motherland and our future.
We are committed to unity. We consider it important in the implementation of all projects - from political to social - to consolidate the entire potential of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora in order to achieve worthy results and realize our main priorities," reads the group's statement.
