Cal’s Jared Goff, Kenny Lawler named first-team All-Pac-12

Tight end Stephen Anderson, left guard Chris Borrayo, defensive end Kyle Kragen, safety Stefan McClure, linebacker Hardy Nickerson and wide receiver Bryce Treggs picked up honorable mention honors.

In Cal’s win Saturday over Arizona State, Goff became the ninth player in Pac-12 history to record more than 4,000 passing yards in a season.

Goff, who threw for a school-record 542 yards and five touchdowns against the Sun Devils, is a candidate for the Manning Award and the Davey O’Brien Award.

In the Bears’ Sept. 26 win at Washington, Lawler had a season-high-tying seven catches for a season-high 112 yards and a touchdown.

The junior tied the school record for the third time when he hauled in three touchdown catches in Cal’s season-opening rout of Grambling State.

Lawler’s 24 career touchdown catches rank third all-time in the program.

Borrayo, who boasts 28 career starts, has helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for school records in total offense (6,293), passing yardage (4,425) and passing touchdowns (38).

In addition to leading the Bears in receiving yards, Treggs is tied for second on the team with six touchdown catches.
