Metro likely to receive power from railway plant

By next April, Kolkata Metro could get power from the Indian Railways' own plant in Nabinagar, Bihar. Navin Tandon, railway board memberelectrical said the first phase of the 4x250 MW plant of Bharat Rail Bijlee Company Ltd will be commissioned in year end or January 2016, and start supplying power by April.
