While I hold my nose thinking about the Sacto A’s or the Vegas A’s I have fond memories of the Oakland A’s, and the Coliseum. We got a bit of bad news yesterday afternoon as it was announced that former Athletics pitcher Ken Holtzman passed away. He was 78.

After finishing the series with the Nationals yesterday, the club is back at it tonight at the Coliseum, hosting the St. Louis Cardinals for a three-game set.
Old friend Sonny Gray is getting the ball for the opposing team tonight. He missed some time at the beginning of the year but made it back. Tonight will be his second start of the season.
