Student protests against Israel have entered their second week in France. A town hall event Thursday at the prestigious Sciences Po university in Paris ended with the administration refusing to create a working group to investigate ties with Israeli universities, which students across France want to see cut over the war in Gaza. It is just one demand of many that are motivating students across France and beyond to keep protesting.

Palestinian groups say top Gaza surgeon died in Israeli custody

Doctor Adnan Ahmed Atiya al-Barsh died at the Israeli-run Ofer prison in the occupied West Bank last month, the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Committee and the Palestinian Prisoners Club said in a joint statement. Gaza truce talks: 'Hamas demand for permanent ceasefire is the main sticking point'

Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said on Thursday the Palestinian militant group was studying a proposal for a truce in the nearly seven-month war raging in Gaza with a "positive spirit", even as the talks continue to drag on after several days without much sign of an agreement.
