SH1 crash near Tawa causes congestion back to Johnsonville

Wellington.Scoop Congestion built up for northbound traffic on SH1 this afternoon after a crash near the Tawa interchange. The crash was reported by NZTA at 3.10, when the left lane was closed. Half an hour later, northbound traffic was backed up to the Johnsonville on-ramp. At 3.45 the closed lane was reopened but congestion continued.
