A lawyer for a Massachusetts college student mistakenly deported to Honduras wants the government to come up with a plan to return her to the United States. Any Lucia Lopez Belloza, a Babson College freshman, was detained at Boston’s airport on Nov. 20 and flown to Honduras two days later. This happened despite an emergency court order to keep her in the U.S. for at least 72 hours. Government lawyers in court admitted they violated the judge’s order, but they argued the court lacks jurisdiction. Her lawyer Todd Pomerleau filed documents Friday laying out several pathways Belloza could be returned.
