A commercial flight has landed in Sudan's capital for the second time since a devastating war began nearly three years ago. The domestic flight, operated by SUDANAIR, arrived at Khartoum International Airport on Sunday. The flight took off from Port Sudan, which served as an interim government seat. The airport's reopening is crucial for normalizing life in Khartoum, heavily affected by the ongoing conflict between the military and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The war, which started in April 2023, has killed over 40,000 people and created a massive humanitarian crisis.
