Jesse Jackson’s children remember his civil rights legacy and describe him as a devoted father after his death at home. Jackson died on Tuesday in Chicago of a rare neurological disorder. Five of his children spoke outside his home on Wednesday, sharing prayerful memories and calling him a public servant and spiritual leader. They also recalled his early work alongside Martin Luther King Jr. and his role in major voting rights efforts. The family says funeral plans will be released later Wednesday. They say services start next week in Chicago with Jackson lying in repose at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition headquarters.
