8-year-old girl who went missing on Navajo Nation found dead Friday

An 8-year-old girl who went missing on tribal lands in northern Arizona was found dead Friday. Navajo Nation officials say Maleeka Boone was last seen Thursday evening in the Coalmine Canyon area, about 240 miles (386 kilometers) north of Phoenix. Authorities haven’t revealed details of her death. In a social media video, Navajo President Buu Nygren said Maleeka’s death was devastating. Her disappearance led to the issuance of a Turquoise Alert, an alert system for Native Americans who have gone missing.

The mother of one of Elon Musk's children is suing his AI company over deepfake images of her on the internet. Ashley St. Clair filed her lawsuit Thursday in New York. She claims xAI's Grok chatbot allowed users to create sexually exploitive images that caused her humiliation and distress. Grok is on Musk's social media platform X. Prison guard accused of failing to step in during fatal inmate beating pleads to reduced charge
