Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Peter Arnett, who traveled the world covering wars from Vietnam to Iraq, has died. His son says Arnett died in Newport Beach and was surrounded by friends and family. He had entered hospice on Saturday while suffering from prostate cancer. He was 91. Arnett’s reporting on the Vietnam War for The Associated Press won the Pulitzer Prize for international reporting in 1966. (AP) — The search continued Wednesday for the shooter who killed two students and wounded nine others at Brown University on Saturday as students were studying for a final exam on the Ivy League campus. Investigators have been hobbled by the lack of clear eyewitness accounts of the shooter and few, if any, cameras in the wing of the building where the attack happened.

The U.S. government says the actions of an air traffic controller and Army helicopter pilot played a role in a fatal collision last January between an airliner and a Black Hawk near the nation’s capital. The government responded Wednesday to the first lawsuit filed by one of the victims’ families. It said it is partly liable but suggested others may have also played a role. Security footage released by the FBI shows a route taken by a person police are seeking in connection with the Brown University shooting. The person is seen on various cameras walking or running through a neighborhood near the campus. Shortly after, the person is seen calmly walking away from the scene.
