Slobo Maric, former prison guard from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison for unlawfully gaining US citizenship by failing to disclose his membership in the Bosnian Army and crimes he committed during the conflict there 1992-95, the US Department of Justice announced in a press release on Monday.
