Following the guidance from the U.K. government and Badminton England, the Bolton Badminton League fixtures scheduled to be played on the 19th September 2022 will be postponed out of respect to the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All other fixtures are to be played as per the 2022/23 fixture schedule.

The teams were:
Forrest A: Christine Seddon, Nicola Hill, Carolyn Wood, Chris Mealor, Chris Latham, and Matt Latham.
Forrest B: Laura Bradley, Jenny Ball, Amy Larcombe, Colin Warburton, Sanjay Patel, and John Mealor.
It had been a long time in waiting due to the covid pandemic to finally play this match, but it was worth waiting for as both teams played in a good sporting manner and were entertaining to watch... Читать дальше...

Play resumed after the Christmas break this week in the Bolton Badminton League. Sharples B ninth in B Section hosted Deane B, close neighbours in eighth position with both teams desperate for points. The opening games were very tight but Kate Bridge and Nick Hitchen, Sharples’ first couple, managed to hold on to take both games 21-18, 24-22, against Patricia Beck and Kanti Mistry, playing second for Deane. In the interests of our members and in light of government advice provided today around social distancing, and avoidance of non-essential contact in order to protect the most vulnerable members of the community, the Bolton Badminton League has made the decision to suspend all League games and its Cup finals from 7pm (16th March 2020), until further notice.
