Meghan Markle should wait more than a year before having her second child as she’s a geriatric mum, midwife claims
THE world is waiting for Meghan Markle to announce that she has given birth to her first child.
But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have to wait at least a year before adding to their brood, if they follow the advice of a midwifery professor.

Meghan is currently aged 37, which means she is considered a geriatric mum, according to healthcare professionals.
And Julie Jomeen, who is a professor of midwifery at the University of Hull, said women over 35 should wait at least a year before getting pregnant again.
She advised that older mums who conceived within six months after giving birth had a 1.2 per cent greater risk of maternal mortality than younger mums.
She said to Express.co.uk: “The issue is of course that older Mums are more likely to plan to have babies closer together as they don’t have the same luxury of time in terms of their fertility, as woman still in her 20s would have.
“However, the general health of the Mum is an important factor here in risk. Ultimately, it has to be a woman’s choice, what is important is that they are aware of the evidence around birth spacing and that they make their choice based on good evidenced based information.”
Prince Harry has already voiced his desire to have two kids, hinting he is hoping for Meghan to fall pregnant again in the future.
When he attended the 50th anniversary of the Investiture of the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace, he chatted to Falklands War Army veteran Simon Weston about having “two” kids.
Royal correspondent Rebecca English tweeted about the event: “Simon Weston spoke to Harry today who joked about the Wales/Engl rugby. ‘I warned him & the duchess it serves him right as they will be getting plenty of sleepless nights when the baby is born. He said if they have any more than two it will serve him right.’”

But Prince Harry also revealed on his Dublin tour last year that he does have a maximum number of kids he could handle.
During their Dublin tour last July, Prince Harry spoke to well-wishers who lined the streets to greet them, and one fan cheekily asked about his baby plans.
According to People, a woman called Elaine Adam-Stewart asked Harry: “My husband also has red hair and he gave me five children — when are you and Meghan going to get going?”
Prince Harry is said to have laughed at her question and replied: “Five children? — too many.”
Perhaps he will follow in his big brother’s footsteps and have three kids?
