Meghan Markle ‘won’t dress Baby Sussex in smocking and knee-high socks like Kate Middleton’s kids’, former royal nurse claims
WITH Meghan Markle due to give birth any day now, we can only imagine how kitted out the nursery at Frogmore Cottage must be.
However, an insider has now claimed that the former Suits actress will take a VERY different approach to sister-in-law Kate Middleton in how she dresses Baby Sussex.
According to a former royal nurse, Meghan won’t dress her baby in smocked dresses and knee-high socks like Kate Middleton[/caption]
Commenting on Meghan’s “modern” plans, former royal maternity nurse Sarah Dixon told People Magazine: “I really don’t think this baby will be dressed in smocking and knee-high socks the way Kate’s children have been.”
In other words, we won’t be expecting to see Baby Sussex dressed in some of Prince George‘s adorable knee-high socks or Princess Charlotte‘s favourite smocked dresses.
However, the insider claims that Meghan wants to be “a very modern parent” and will “take more guidance from friends such as Amal Clooney than she will from Kate.”
Last month, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan was planning on having a female doctor to deliver the Royal Baby and intends to follow Amal’s birthing plan.

The insider claims Meghan will take inspiration from celeb pal Amal Clooney and shun the vintage stroller trend too[/caption]
And similarly to how Meghan reportedly plans to raise her baby “Californian style” by enforcing “clean living”, the former nurse claims the Duchess will shop exclusively from eco-friendly brands.
The nurse added: “She will want to incorporate her own style and her love of all things eco when it comes to clothing for the baby and she will go for organic cotton for her layette I’m sure.”
What’s more, the Duchess of Sussex is also expected to shun Kate’s vintage stroller for something a little more sleek and modern.
Meghan is also reportedly planning on using a more modern, sleek pram instead of the Royal vintage stroller Kate prefers[/caption]
“Amal has a Bugaboo for the twins, and I can see her going with their modern designs rather than the Silver Cross,” the nurse continued. “Meghan has a very individual style and she will incorporate that when she’s shopping for her baby.”
Costing upwards of £775 each, A-Listers such as Miranda Kerr and Mariah Caery are reported to own one of these pricey prams.
