SUMMER nights in the garden have just been made more appealing (and warmer) thanks to Argos.
The retailer is selling a fire pit that doubles up as a BBQ – and it’s £4.99 cheaper than Aldi’s.
Ideal for cooking al fresco when the weather warms up, the “Bar-Be-Quick Dual Firepit Barbecue” sets you back £45.
The portable gadget comes with foldable legs, so you could take it to a nearby park (if they allow BBQs) or on your next camping trip.
All you need to do to convert the fire pit to a BBQ is slot in a grill and add logs or chiminea fuel.
It comes with a mesh cover, so once you’ve cooked your meal, simply put this on to warm up and to ensure no sparks escape the fire.
The dual use gadget is cheaper than Aldi’s “Gardenline Garden Fire Pit” costing £49.99, and it has a diameter of 54cm compared to Aldi’s size of 48cm x 69cm.
But the latter is designed to look like a decorative stone in your garden, so if that’s what you’re after, it may still be a better buy for you.
Just keep in mind that it launched at Aldi as part of its Specialbuys last week, meaning it’s only available as long as stocks last.
Meanwhile, Quality Discounts is selling a very similar stone-effect BBQ and fire pit for £79.99.
The gadget at Argos is one of the cheapest among the UK’s high street retailers, but you can actually buy fire pits that double up as BBQs for less on eBay and Amazon.
For example, the latter is selling an own-brand foldable fire pit BBQ for £34.99 – and it measures 66cm.
As always, shop around before you splash out to make sure you’re getting the best option for you at the lowest price possible.
Argos has roughly 830 branches across the UK. You can find your nearest one using its store locator tool.

The discounter is also selling a much cheaper copy cat big green egg BBQ that usually costs more than £1,000.
Meanwhile, hundreds of jobs are at risk at Argos after a shake-up of middle management roles.
