WE’RE just days away from the launch of the latest OnePlus – the budget blower that’s set to go toe-to-toe with the iPhone XS.
Official renders of the OnePlus 7 Pro, tipped to cost around £600, have now leaked online, revealing that the phone comes with a bizarre selfie camera.
It pops out the top of the frame to save on screen space, allowing for a stunning near edge-to-edge display.
Renders shared by WinFuture also show off a triple-camera system that runs vertically down the middle of the casing.
Rumours suggest the setup includes a 48MP main camera, with a 16MP wide-angle and 8MP telephoto lens to boot.
OnePlus is renowned for flogging cheap and cheerful phones at competitive prices.
The Chinese startup releases new gadgets at breakneck pace – typically one every six months – but is breaking form with its next launch.
It’s expected to unveil two phones, the OnePlus 7 and pricier 7 Pro, at an event in London on May 14.
Based on the newly leaked renders, the rear panel of the Pro will be carved out of a single slab of glass.
It’ll come in Almond, Mirror Grey and sleek gradient Nebula Blue finishes.
The pop-out module on top looks a little goofy, but allows for full use of the Pro’s 6.7-inch display.
It houses a 16MP selfie snapper, according to rumours.

OnePlus was founded back in 2013, flogging the OnePlus One on an invite-only basis.
Since then, the company has seen a meteoric rise, earning a cult following and quickly becoming one of the world’s best-known phone makers.
While they might not have all the bells and whistles of an iPhone or top-end Samsung, OnePlus phones are great for anyone working to a budget.
We’ll be at the event when OnePlus drops its latest gadgets next week, so stay tuned for our first impressions.
