A HEROIC Russian air crash steward sent a haunting final “loving you” text to his girlfriend – just 15 minutes before he died saving passengers.
Maxim Moiseev, 22, sent the message as the plane circled above Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport on Sunday.
In the text to Ksenia Obraztsova, said to be in her early 20s, Moiseev hinted they were having problems on board.
He managed to get signal even after a “lightning strike” ruined a lot of power in the aircraft.
As she became worried, he told her: “Don’t worry”.
Keeping her informed, Maxim said: “We are flying to Sharik.
“All is okay with me, don’t worry.”
FEARING THE WORST
She replied: “Did you turn around? Where are you flying? Why do you have a network access?
“Give me the flight number”
But Maxim told her “Loving you.”
Fearing the worst, Ksenia added: “What happened. 1492. I found it.”
But he did not open her last message.
MAN OF HONOUR
Maxim died trying to save passengers in the burning rear of the Sukhoi SuperJet after it erupted in flames during its emergency landing.
The other four members of the crew all escaped from the inferno plane.
There is speculation Maxim will be honoured by Vladimir Putin for bravery in seeking to save the lives of stricken passengers in the plane ravaged by flames and filled with toxic smoke.

It is believed that Maxim tried to read her message, but couldn’t open it as he was letting passengers out of the aircraft.
Ksenia is now believed to be with Maxim’s distraught parents, according to Mash online news.
Maxim was flying back to his home city of Murmansk when the plane crashed.
He had studied in Moscow region and hoped later to train as a pilot.
A minute’s silence was held in his honour at the school in Monino on Tuesday.
