Anthony Joshua puts up his own billboards as champ launches new Lucozade drink while Fury reveals all over rivals sparring
ANTHONY JOSHUA put up his own billboards as he launched his very own Lucozade drink – while Tyson Fury has spoken out about a sparring session with AJ.
Brit star AJ, 30, helped launch the new apple and raspberry flavour drink – aptly called “Fruit Punch” – complete with gold cap and his “Stay Humble” motto.
Joshua was also spotted delivering crates of the drink to corner shops and even surprised joggers and random shoppers with a freebie.
The boxing superstar was on the streets of his hometown, Watford, for the day and spoke about his excitement as his new endeavour.
Joshua claimed: “It’s not every day you launch a drink with your own face on it.
“This is an exciting venture for me so I couldn’t help but get stuck in and put up the billboards myself.
“Lucozade Sport aims to support everybody that is made to move and I hope my new flavour will inspire even more people to get active.”
Meanwhile, Claire Keaveny – head of marketing at Lucozade Sport – added: “AJ has transformed British boxing and inspired the nation to fall back in love with the sport.
“Lucozade Sport has supported him on his journey from the very beginning, so we’re delighted to have collaborated with AJ on our newest flavour.
FRUIT PUNCH A KO
“We expect Fruit Punch to be a knockout hit as AJ continues to dominate the heavyweight division.”
Meanwhile, fellow British heavyweight Fury has revealed he once sparred with Joshua years ago – and claims he was all over his rival.
The Gypsy King claimed: “We’ve had a spar before. He was an amateur boxer at the time.
“He had a good couple of rounds. Then I started hitting him around the body.
“I’m there with my hands down and flicking him, leaning out of the way. He’s coming forward with big swings. How’s he going to hit me?
“I said: ‘Go on then, put one on me, I’ll stand still for you’. He just can’t win. It was what it was.”
On a potential future showdown between two giants of British boxing, Fury added: “He seems pretty spirited, doesn’t he?

“But when I stood face-to-face with him and said, ‘Do you want to get outside?’ His a*** started flapping. He s*** himself!
“It doesn’t matter what weight I was at the time. I wasn’t in shape but I’d have taken him outside and kicked his c*** right in for him.
“If a man said that to me – I don’t care if I was unfit or not – he’d be outside and punched. We’d have had to have a fight. Simple. I don’t care who he is or what he is.
“But I said that to him and he didn’t want to know.”
