Toledo Council reviews $216,000 for new downtown cameras, system upgrades

Toledo City Council Wednesday reviewed spending more than $216,000 to pay camera system upgrades and 17 new police cameras downtown that are required by a 2015 development agreement between the city and ProMedica that spells out incentives for the company to relocate its corporate headquarters downtown.

Pete S. Morris, an owner of restaurants and vending businesses who organized — and often cooked for — events in support of causes, candidates, church, and community, died Monday in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Township. He was 88.
