MAJOR and sustained turbulence, minutes before American Airlines (AA) Flight 2713 landed at Piarco International Airport, led to 30 passengers being treated at the airport with three being sent to the Arima District Hospital for further treatment on Wednesday night. Weeping passengers described the flight as the most frightening experience of their lives.
FORMER TT sprinter Ato Modibo Stephens has been sentenced to 18 months imprisonment in the Cayman Islands, after being found guilty of misuse of an ICT network, at the end of a trial regarding allegations that he acted inappropriately with a 14-year-old female athlete. Stephens was found not guilty of two counts of indecent assault and one count of gross indecency.

FINANCE Minister Colm Imbert yesterday said court-appointed liquidators will be investigating the true value of the beleaguered CL Financial (CLF) conglomerate.
