GOVERNMENT will not allow any demonstrations at hospitals by the striking junior doctors, Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has said. In a statement he released when he was Acting President on Tuesday, VP Chiwenga said the Government had met the majority of demands by the junior doctors.

President Trump has taken a controversial walk down memory lane.

In a broad attempt to justify withdrawing American troops from Afghanistan during a Cabinet meeting Wednesday, Trump ended up saying the Soviet Union was "right" to invade Afghanistan in 1979. According to the president's version of history, the Soviet Union turned into Russia because it "went bankrupt fighting in Afghanistan." DRC Curbs French Radio, Local TV Channel in Tension Over Vote Count

The Democratic Republic of Congo said on Wednesday it had pulled accreditation for a French radio journalist and cut broadcasts from the station, as well as a local television channel, amid tensions over the counting of votes in crucial elections. The authorities said accreditation for the Radio France Internationale (RFI) correspondent in Kinshasa, Florence Morice, had been withdrawn. Shady surgeon charged with manslaughter over botched butt lift

A notorious black-market butt-lifter was hit with manslaughter charges for a deadly procedure performed in her Bronx home, authorities said. Cops arrested Whalesca Castillo, 44, Wednesday morning for the June death of Philadelphia woman Lesbia Ayala, 49.
