BEIJING (AP) — Chinese nationalists are accusing a McDonald's advertisement in Taiwan of supporting independence for the self-ruled island. The advertisement for a breakfast sandwich, broadcast only in Taiwan, shows a two-second glimpse of a woman's identity card that lists her nationality as "Taiwan." Comments on internet bulletin boards on Monday accused McDonald's of violating Chinese law by supporting independence for Taiwan, which Beijing claims as part of its territory. Der Auftakt zum 79. Hahnenkamm-Wochenende hat einen Sieg für Gastgeber Österreich gebracht. Daniel Danklmaier gewann am Montag die nach 2017 zum zweiten Mal ausgetragene Europacup-Abfahrt auf der Streif vor den beiden Schweizern Nils Mani und Lars Rösti und übernahm damit auch die Führung im Abfahrts-Europacup. Bereits Dienstag steht das erste Training für die Weltcup-Fahrer auf dem Programm.

Der Österreicher Daniel Danklmaier hat die Europacup-Abfahrt in Kitzbühel gewonnen. Einen Tag vor dem ersten Weltcup-Training für das 79. Hahnenkamm-Wochenende siegte der nach zwei Trainings-Bestzeiten favorisierte Steirer am Montag in 1:21,19 Min. vor den beiden Schweizern Nils Mani (+0,35 Sek.) und Lars Rösti (+0,40). Zweitbester Österreicher war nach 50 Läufern Manuel Traninger als Zehnter.

The flamingos have arrived at Oroklini Lake in the Larnaca District.
