You obviously didn't read the article. He says 7 weeks in prison isn't anywhere near enough of a punishment but that points deductions or punishments towards the club are the wrong way to go because it's not the club's fault.
He's right. He says that deducting points could lead to relegation which means people could lose their jobs at the club. Why punish them for the actions of some idiot?
The report states that McGregor slapped the fan's phone from his hands and proceeded to stomp on it several times.
