Chhattisgarh: Four hurt as IED blast overturns vehicle

Four people were injured Monday after a pressure bomb explosion overturned their vehicle in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said. The pressure bomb, planted by ultras to target security forces near a culvert off Chikpal village, went off in afternoon under Katekalyan police station area, Dantewada Superintendent of Police Abhishek Pallava told PTI. Adityanath holds meeting with tax department

CM seeks plan for construction of dedicated reservoir

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao Monday asked officials to construct a dedicated reservoir for Greater Hyderabad to mitigate the city's drinking water problems. Rao, who held a meeting with ministers, MLAs and officials, said Godavari river water from Mallanna Sagar and Konda Pochamma reservoirs would be supplied to fill the proposed reservoir, a release from his office said. Facing protests from people, six local leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in East Burdwan district Monday returned around Rs 1.5 lakh to 32 beneficiaries of government schemes. Traffic violations: 4750 vehicles fined, 143 impounded in Noida in 4 hrs

As many as 4,750 vehicles were issued challans for wrong-lane riding/driving, while 143 were impounded for other road traffic violations in Noida and Greater Noida on Monday, officials said. The action was taken during the eighth edition of 'Operation Clean', an initiative of the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police to decongest roads and check traffic violations. Kejriwal floats idea of water exchange with Haryana

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Monday said Delhi can give 56.4 crore litres of treated water daily to Haryana for irrigation and in turn the neighbouring state can release an equal amount of drinking water for the national capital.
