Twenty-four states and union territories have joined a scheme to set up a total of 1,023 'fast-track special courts' (FTSCs) to dispose of over 1.60 lakh cases of rape of children and women pending in various courts across the country, the Law Ministry said on Thursday. Newborn baby boy found abandoned in Maharashtra village

A newborn baby boy was found abandoned in bushes in a village in Jalna district of Maharashtra on Thursday, police said. The incident came to light when passers-by heard cries of the baby, who was found dumped in bushes in Wadona village under Bhokardan tehsil, they said.
