Consumer-goods giant Procter & Gamble Co. PG on Tuesday said its board had declared an increase in its quarterly dividend of $0.9407 per share — or 3% — on its common stock and on preferred stock in the company. The increased dividend is payable starting May 15 to shareholders as of April 21. Shares were unchanged after hours, after finishing 0.2% lower during regular trading.

Indiana lawmakers have given final approval to a Republican-backed proposal that would require Indiana voters to submit more identification information to obtain mail-in ballots, rejecting arguments that the tougher rules would make voting more difficult for many people. A Boston-area supermarket chain will pay $800,000 to settle allegations that it violated state labor laws by failing to pay workers overtime and premium weekend rates. The state attorney general’s office said Tuesday that C-Mart stores, which specialize in Asian foods, were issued 15 citations in 2021 following an investigation by the attorney general’s Fair Labor Division.
