A recalled Nevada license plate meant to “drive away” Californians is getting one last chance to hit the streets. Nevada's Department of Motor Vehicles recalled the plate “GOBK2CA,” which is short for “Go back to California.” KOLO-TV reported the plate was recalled in May after the DMV received a complaint. The vehicle owner is appealing the recall and will have a hearing on Wednesday. A section of the Nevada Administrative Code applied to the recall includes a section prohibiting defamatory references to a person or group. In this case, DMV officials say the defamed group is Californians.
