Police in western Indiana shot and killed a man who pointed a gun at them after a two-hour standoff. Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames says Terre Haute police officers were sent to a storage building of a landscaping business Tuesday morning, responding to a complaint of a man making threats and pointing a gun at workers. Ames says officers ordered the man to put down his weapon and leave the building. He says the man didn’t comply, and police established a perimeter. The standoff ensued, and after the man was shot, he died at a hospital. His connection to the business hasn't been released.
