Daisy Midgeley makes major decision as Daniel Osbourne asks her to adopt Bertie in Coronation Street
DANIEL Osbourne plans a grand gesture for his fiancée Daisy Midgeley and asks her to adopt his son Bertie.
The pressure is turned up a notch next week in Coronation Street and the former Rovers barmaid makes a huge decision.
After weeks of uncertainty, the fate of the Rovers pub is finally revealed on ITV.
Coming up next week, having gained permission from Waterfords, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) shows Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) into the empty Rovers and suggests that rather than buying a flat in Redbank, they buy the pub instead.
Daisy is gobsmacked as the pub was once owned by her former stepmother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews).
And due to her past as a barmaid in the iconic pub, nobody other than her (apart from other former employees) could take care of and know the venue better than her.
The couple both agree to the plan and, in later scenes, Jenny and Ken Barlow (William Roache) are thrilled when Daisy breaks the news to Jenny that she and Daniel are buying the pub.
But after deciding to own a business with her, Daniel decides to take their partnership to another level.
Daisy is thrown when Daniel tells her he hopes the next step will be her adopting his son Bertie.
This level of commitment may be too much for Daisy as she remains confused over her romantic feelings for another man – Ryan Connor.
Speaking of which, the penny drops for Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) when Daniel makes a throwaway comment about the gym job and he realises that he lost the opportunity because of the jealous Weatherfield teacher.
Ryan tells Daisy he thinks Daniel knows about them and sabotaged the job, explaining to her about the video.
Daisy reckons he’s overthinking things but back at the flat talk about being a family gets to her.
As she starts to fill in the adoption form, guilt gets the better of her and Daisy admits to sleeping with Ryan.
How will Daniel react?
Later on, Daisy does her best to try and convince Daniel she would never cheat again but he’s devastated when she admits that she does love Ryan – only in a different way.
Meanwhile, Jenny lets slip to Carla Connor (Alison King) about what has happened.

Daisy tells Ryan that Daniel knows everything but before Ryan can tell his own partner Crystal Hyde (Erin Austen) about his one night stand with Daisy, Daniel storms into the Bistro and lays into him.
Ryan leaves the Bistro with Daniel in hot pursuit and a fight breaks out.
Crystal tells Ryan she’s prepared to give him another chance and proves it with one final ultimatum – she leaves for Glasgow in two days’ time and it’s up to him if he wants to go with her.
What will Ryan decide?
