A man was seriously injured after crashing his car into a house in Rocky Hill on Saturday afternoon, police and fire officials said.
Officers responded to Marshall Road at 12:11 p.m. and found a four-door car that had crashed into the side of a house, according to the Rocky Hill Fire Department.
The driver, who was alone in the car, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, officials said.

Fire Chief Michael P. Garrahy said the man did not live in the house that he hit.
At least part of the house crumbled into the driveway around the car, spilling bricks onto the ground and broken trash and recycling bins. The house and care suffered “significant damage,” officials said.
The home was unoccupied at the time of the collision, and no one else was injured in the incident, the Rocky Hill Police Department said.
According to police, a preliminary investigation determined the vehicle was traveling north on Robbins Lane when it left the roadway and struck a fence around a community pool on Marshall Road. Police said the vehicle reportedly fled the scene of the initial crash and headed west on Marshall Road where it left the roadway and struck the home.
“Due to the seriousness of the motor vehicle collision, the Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad was activated and will assume the investigation,” police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Rocky Hill Officer Peter Vanturas at 860-258-2049 or Sgt. Jeffrey Foss-Rugan at 860-258-2041.
