Chilean midfielder Vidal nearing Boca Juniors move

BUENOS AIRES, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal is close to joining Boca Juniors on a free transfer, according to widespread media reports in Argentina.

The 36-year-old, who is contracted to Brazil's Athletico Paranaense until December 31, has reportedly agreed to a 12-month deal with the Buenos Aires club.

Vidal has not played since September after undergoing surgery to repair a torn men
