Good Morning Britain host admits ‘rough’ week after undergoing ‘very painful’ surgery
A GOOD Morning Britain fan-favourite has confessed he’s had a “rough” week after undergoing “very painful” surgery.
The ITV anchor, 56, was forced to have a tooth removed and his root canal work completely re-done in a lengthy medical appointment.

Ed Balls made the grim health confession on his Political Currency podcast.
The Good Morning Britain frontman, who often presents on-screen with Susanna Reid, 52, told his podcast co-host, ex Conservative chancellor George Osborne “I have to say I have had a bit of a rough week.
“I went to the dentist on Monday and it turns out the root canal which was first done two years after Tony Blair became Prime Minister has finally given up the ghost.
“All fractured deep inside, I had to go to the dentist and have a whole tooth out.
“Quite painful.”
It remains to be seen if Ed will return to GMB on Monday.
Last month, he stunned fans of the ITV daytime show as he revealed a feud with a Girls Aloud band member.
He also let slip his secret music skill – and revealed he has joined a band.
Ex Labour cabinet minister Ed and journalist Robert Peston covered the Sex Pistols during their set as band Centrist Dad.
They pulled off a raucous rendition of Anarchy in the UK in front of a receptive audience at York Rise, in North London.
Robert, 63, took on frontman duties prowling around like a more mild-mannered John Lydon, while Ed bashed the drums in the background.
Rounding off the quartet were Radio 4 host John Wilson on bass and Chris Taylor on guitar.
Meanwhile, Ed’s co-host Susanna this weekend exclusively told The Sun how she relishes her early-morning starts with co-presenters including Ed, Richard Madeley, Rob Rinder and Martin Lewis.
In the chat, Susanna cheekily suggested that Ed is the man former Conservative health secretary, now independent MP Matt Hancock desperately wishes he was.
“Ed has enormous experience and popularity,” she said.
“I think Ed is what Matt Hancock wants to be.
“He’s been in government, went into reality TV, became hugely popular and now he can do both the serious stuff and the entertainment.
“And people take him seriously in both roles.”
