‘Make your home even warmer’ with £2 Temu buy that’s easy to use and will make the radiators work more effectively
DO you feel like your radiators are not working efficiently? Well, according to one cleaning fan, there’s a £2 Temu buy that can instantly fix the issue.
As the temperatures are dropping – and Brits have even been warned of heavy snow and ice – many households are finally switching the central heating on to keep toasty.

However, with the energy prices now skyrocketing, it’s also vital to ensure that your radiators work properly – not only will this make your home warm and cosy, but it can also save you money in the long run.
There are a couple of ways to make sure the heating system functions effectively, such as by bleeding radiators and even adding a sheet of kitchen foil behind the radiators.
However, if you feel like none of these hacks have really done anything, it also might be worth to give your radiators a good clean – and according to experts, it’s even more crucial if you have pets.
”You’ll likely find pet hair, fur balls, and all manner of other dusty elements at the back of your radiators – preventing them from emanating heat,” explained the pros at Places for People.
”These build-ups can create an insulating layer that stop heat escaping, making your radiators work less efficiently and costing you more money.”
Luckily, one savvy cleaning enthusiast, Matt Powell, has taken to TikTok to share how he tackles the common issue – a special radiator cleaning brush.
The cleaning essential, which can be snapped up from Temu for around £2, makes it super easy to reach the inside part of the radiators, removing all the dirt it passes by.
The soft hair of the brush also means it can even fit through the smallest slits in the cover – so there’s no need to manually remove it.
”So satisfying,” Mat, from the UK, said, as he revealed just how much dust and dirt had come out of his radiators in the video.
Urging fellow cleaning fans to not sleep on the bargain buy, he added: ”Get the most out of your central heating with one of these!”
Fellow rival store Amazon only offers the brush, selling from as little as £6.99, whilst Heat Keeper sells it for £8.
Since being shared on the platform, the clip has gone viral, winning Matt a whopping 2.4million views and hundreds of comments.
One suggested an alternative, writing: ”I use a hairdryer to blow it out.”
Someone else penned: ”I’d rather just take the grate off an vacuum it.”
”Protip- put some kitchen roll or a puppy pad or paper or something below the radiator before you start for easy clean-up,” a third chimed in.
”What a good idea!” another exclaimed.
When it comes to central heating, it’s important you know how much it’s going to cost, so you don’t end up with a huge bill at the end of the month.
According to recent data gathered by The Sun, having the heating on for several hours will set you can by £13.44.
Multiply that by seven and you’re paying £94.08 for the week – which works out pretty pricey over the course of several months.
Of course, it’s also worth adding that prices will vary depending on various factors such as what temperature your thermostat is set to.
It’s also important to consider what tariff you’re on, as this could determine how much it costs you a night.
