India's Ministry of State for Planning, Rao Inderjit Singh, has announced that the NITI Aayog will release a combined report from the third to sixth edition of the Composite Water Management Index (CWMI) as it explores other methods for indexing data. The Aayog has been publishing the CWMI since 2018, with two editions published in June 2018 and August 2019. The latest edition was prepared in August 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
