New equipment has been installed at the Urology Department of Mater Dei Hospital to remove kidney stones without the need for surgery.Health Minister Chris Fearne said the equipment, bought through EU funds, will save patients days of recovery after surgery. Treatment can now be given without the need for surgery and anaesthetic.
