LAGOS PMO SEEKS IMPROVED PRODUCTIVITY AHEAD OF 2024
Ahead of the year 2024, the Management of Lagos State Parastatals Monitoring (PMO) Office has identified the need to work in synergy and reposition the office for enhanced productivity.
Speaking during the recently held two-day Retreat for its management staff at Dover Hotel, Ikeja, the Permanent Secretary of the Office, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina said that the retreat will further help the staff of the Office to develop themselves, boost their confidence and prepare to function effectively with a 21st-century mindset.
While noting that the retreat was the first of its kind, the Permanent Secretary expressed the hope that the Office will entrench it as part of its annual engagements to be in sync with evolving trends in governance.
He emphasised that the retreat with the theme: “Repositioning Parastatals Monitoring Office for Enhanced Productivity” is in line with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda aimed at achieving a Greater Lagos that everyone will be proud of.
Aina maintained that the way the Management Staff of the Office will go about carrying out their duties in the coming year will renew trust in governance through excellent performances and dedication to duties.
He informed that the office has been placed on a first-line charge and given the necessary powers to effectively discharge its functions of monitoring and inspecting projects of Agencies and Parastatals across the State.
The PS, therefore, urged participants at the retreat to use the various interactive sessions, handled by qualified resource persons and instructors, as avenues to rub minds, share ideas and knowledge on how to integrate the various departments and units in PMO together for a common cause.
