Sports betting is now legal in Florida (again!)
It’s been a long and winding road, but legalized sports betting is back in the state of Florida.
For the first time on Thursday, three casinos owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida will offer sports betting on premises. Earlier this week, Hard Rock Bet went back online and was available to all Floridians over 21 years of age to sign up for sports betting anywhere in the state. Hard Rock is the only legal online sportsbook available in Florida.
It’s official: Hard Rock Bet is legal in Florida and live for betting from anywhere in the state!

Sports betting had been briefly legal back in late 2021, as the Seminole Tribe was given expanded gambling privileges through a gambling compact with the state of Florida. The compact has faced legal challenges, and is still tied up in the court system.
The first few weeks of legal sports wagering have seen plenty of big bets in Florida as well.
