Gov. Tim Walz Dishes On GOP Debate: 'These Guys Are Weird'
There was yet another GOP debate Wednesday night on the little-known so-called neutral network NewsNation, moderated by Megyn Kelly, Elizabeth Vargas, and Washington Free Beacon editor-in-chief Eliana Johnson. I didn't watch it, because why spend time watching four people who are not going to be the Republican nominee spew Republican talking points?
I will admit, however, that I was horrified to see them invite Tom Fitton to ask questions. Who's next? Ginni Thomas? Steve Bannon?
But I digress. Governor Tim Walz did an interview for CNN Thursday morning that summed everything up nicely.
CNN's John Berman quoted Walz saying the GOP primary candidates are "weird." Specifically, he said, "There's no such thing as a generic Republican. These guys are weird. Once they start running, their weirdness shows up."
"What did you mean by that?" Berman asked.
Walz' answer was perfect.
