‘Gross, inappropriate & unfeminine’ woman gets slammed for not wearing bras & embracing body hair – but she fights back
A WOMAN has hit back at people who have slammed those who don’t wear a bra – and revealed why she’s embracing her body hair too.
Spencer Barbosa uploaded a clip of herself wearing a T-shirt but no bra as she took aim at what cruel trolls say about people who choose to ditch underwear.
Spencer, whose TikTok profile is @spencer.barbosa, displayed on screen the kinds of things people say about the decision.
Mimicking trolls’ insults, the 21-year-old Canadian influencer wrote: “Not wearing a bra is so gross and inappropriate.”
But she showed she doesn’t take their words seriously, as she danced around with a smile on their face ignoring their petty remarks.
She later added in the caption: “Why are women taught to be grossed out by their own bodies?”
Spencer was also quick to defend her decision to embrace her body hair – despite it still seemingly being deemed taboo or ‘unhygienic’ in society.
In another video posted to her social media platform, she revealed she’d heard things like “body hair isn’t feminine.”
But she hit back and said “I will never stop posting my body hair” as she turned around and showed the hair on the back of her lower back and then her arms.
The young girl also silenced her critics when she declared: “I am feminine.”
Both of the videos received a massive reaction from her 9.2 million TikTok followers, who all praised her for speaking out and dubbed her “a role model.”
One person wrote: “You help me to feel confident.”
A second social media user added: “Spencer, you are such an icon, to be honest, and I love how you tell other girls to be comfortable in their own bodies like you.”
While a third said: “I’m probably old enough to be your mum or your aunt, but I just ADORE you and look up to you.”
Others also said they’d felt inspired to be more confident and not wear a bra.
One such person typed: “I will never feel bad about not wearing a bra.”
Another joined the conversation as they said: “I haven’t worn a bra since October because it’s winter now.
“We are layering clothes so who’s going to notice?”
This comes after Spencer, who first began sharing content on YouTube, opened up about why she speaks out about things like this.
She told Yahoo Canada: “I wanted to be an account that people could go to… and see me as almost like an older sister, or a best friend.”
