'Bachelor in Paradise' stars Aaron B. and Eliza apparently had a rocky relationship post-show — but did they stay together?
Aaron B. and Eliza got engaged on Thursday's finale of "Bachelor in Paradise." Here's what we know about the status of their relationship today.
- Spoilers ahead for the finale of "Bachelor in Paradise" season nine.
- Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei were one of the strongest couples on "Bachelor in Paradise."
- The two hit a few road blocks along the way, but ultimately ended the season engaged.
Season nine of ABC's "Bachelor in Paradise" featured numerous singles looking for love on the beach, but only two couples got engaged during Thursday's finale. One of those couples was Aaron Bryant and Eliza Isichei, who formed a strong connection from the start of the season.
However, trouble struck after Kat Izzo suggested to Eliza that Aaron had serious baggage, which was why Charity Lawson broke up with him on her season of "The Bachelorette." Charity's visit to the "Paradise" beach didn't exactly help Aaron's case, but Aaron and Eliza were ultimately able to work through their issues.
And on Thursday's finale, Aaron and Eliza were one of two "Paradise" couples to get engaged on the beach — the other being Kat Izzo and John Henry Spurlock, who was previously involved with Olivia Lewis.
Here's what we could piece together about Aaron and Eliza's relationship status today.
Aaron and Eliza got engaged, but a montage at the end of the finale dropped a bombshell about their status
Fans who aren't spoiler-averse have known since mid-July that Aaron and Eliza left the beach as a couple. Blogger Reality Steve shared a short video clip to X (formerly known as Twitter) showing a couple that appeared to be Aaron and Eliza chatting in the lobby of a hotel in the area where "Paradise" is usually filmed.
"I don't know if they're engaged and Eliza has been back in Germany since filming. But clearly they ended the show together," Reality Steve noted in his post.
(SPOILER): This was was taken a few days after filming ended in the Vidanta lobby & posted on an IG story that was sent to me. This is Eliza and Aaron B. Of course, we now know that the two did get engaged. According to the blogger, Eliza returned to Germany, where she lived, after the show. But Aaron's Instagram suggests that he's based in San Diego, California. It's unclear where Eliza is based now (none of her recent Instagram posts feature a tagged location), and it's also unclear whether or not she and Aaron tried a long-distance relationship after the engagement we saw on Thursday's finale.
However, a montage at the end of the finale gave updates on couples from this season of "Paradise." According to the producers, Eliza and Aaron ran into some issues in their relationship. At the time the finale was edited, the two were apparently trying to work things out.
The couple's recent online interactions have been sporadic at best
Both Aaron and Eliza still follow one another on Instagram, so it seems as though they're still cordial with one another.
Like other "Bachelor in Paradise" contestants, Aaron and Eliza appear to be chronically online, at least when it comes to their social media presences. That being said, neither of them have consistently liked or commented on the other's posts. And there's no pictures of Eliza, or of the two of them together, on Aaron's Instagram page, and vice versa. Even more strangely, neither of them has posted anything acknowledging the engagement we all just saw happen.
In fact, the only photo of Eliza's that Aaron has liked from the past year was posted October 26. Eliza, for her part, has only liked three posts of Aaron's from the past year: one from August, featuring stills from his time on Charity's season of "The Bachelorette," and the other two relating to his time on "Bachelor in Paradise." (One was posted October 26, and the other November 10.)
Considering the fact that the couple had apparently "hit some speed bumps" after the show ended (and given that their online interactions are pretty rare), our guess is that their engagement didn't last long after "Paradise" ended, and they're not together today.
